Diana Mini Photos (Take 2)

Hey, I finally developed my first full roll of film and here a few to show how it uses half frame and overlaps frames on a single photo which I find visually interesting:

Lomography History

Well I first heard about lomography when I did my Art & Design Foundation. Basically the brand was originally Russian and were generally seen as poor in quality when documenting realism but soon became popular when two students from Vienna used it in an "artistic" sense due to vibrant colours and the unpredictable effects. This popularity spread and soon China started to produce these cameras.

You can get a variety of cameras such as:
Diana
Holga
Fisheye
Frogeye
Action Sampler etc.

The picture above is the camera that I bought recently =] it's more like a toy camera, this doesn't stop the fun though. Don't let this deter you =] Act like a kid and be spontaneous!

Lomography - Diana Mini

Well I ordered a Diana Mini from eBay this week and it arrived on Thursday, I couldn't wait to try it out! I'm pretty inexperienced when it comes to film cameras but have recently become bored with the predictability of digital cameras. I like that about film and the surprise when the results are revealed, whether its good or bad, you're still learning something at the end of the day (hopefully)! Here are my first attempts, I have to warn you though, they're pretty poor due to the darkness but they still have a great rustic quality about them. I'm hoping soon that I'll be able to experiment with black & white film along with slow shutter speeds to capture motion and light.

The next two photographs below are two images fitted into one frame by controlling how much you turn the spool for the next shot, a great feature you can find in lomo cameras =]

Pinhole Photography

Well, this was a small investigation into pinhole photography and with pleasing results too! It took a couple of days to get the right timing for the exposure but would definitely recommend to anyone interested in photography.
